Robert Vaughn,
Actor

The star of the popular television show “The Man From U.N.C.L.E,” Robert Vaughn has been acclaimed for his work in Hollywood films and on Broadway, as well as being widely recognized for his role on America’s political stage.

Vaughn won an Emmy award for his portrayal of a presidential henchman in “Washington: Behind Closed Doors,” and a second Emmy nomination for his role as Woodrow Wilson in “Backstairs at the White House.” He has portrayed three other presidents, including Franklin Roosevelt in “FDR.” His other television work includes “Inside the Third Reich,” “The Blue and the Grey,” “Centennial,” “The Last Bastion,” in which he portrayed Douglas MacArthur, and the British series, “The Protectors.”

Vaughn made his film debut in 1956 in “No Time to Be Young” and went on to receive an Academy Award nomination for “The Young Philadelphians,” and a British Oscar nomination for “Bullitt.” Other notable appearances included roles in “The Magnificent Seven,” “Towering Inferno,” “Superman III,” “S.O.B.,” and “BASEketball.”
