About the Foundation

Who we are

The Los Angeles City College Foundation (LACCF) develops philanthropic support by working with donors and community partners to improve educational opportunities and outcomes for the students of Los Angeles City College. LACCF develops and provides student services and financial support to increase college access and to enable college success for economically disadvantaged students and other historically underserved student groups.

The Los Angeles City College Foundation (LACCF) was established in 1968. With net assets over $45 million, it is the largest foundation in the Los Angeles Community College District and one of the largest community college foundations in the United States. The Foundation is a non-profit, tax-exempt corporation designed to receive gifts for the Los Angeles City College from individuals, corporations and private foundations.

Our Mission

We believe students can secure a different future and we must disrupt the cycle of poverty and implement programs to effect change. Ensuring the success of our students, the Foundation expands programs, employing strategies to meet students’ basic needs including food, housing, utilities, transportation and access to healthcare. The Foundation seeks to enable low-income students to enroll, persist and succeed in Los Angeles City College’s postsecondary education.

In addition to basic needs support, the Foundation annually provides students with over one million in the form of scholarships, awards, book vouchers, emergency loans and other means of financial support to allow them to continue to excel in their educational endeavors.
