Robert M. Courtney

LACC Foundation Board Vice President Bob Courtney has served as President of Courtney Property and Investments, Inc., in Encino since 1985. Mr. Courtney owns and manages a personal portfolio of investment properties. His company offers consulting services to real estate investors, developers, and owners of commercial and industrial properties.

Mr. Courtney has had wide and varied business experience, beginning with his association with International Management Systems where he worked on developing a worldwide network of business offices conducting international trade of consumer products. He learned to speak Spanish and spent years in Mexico City at the helm of the Classic Copper Company, Inc. Mr. Courtney served as principal and Vice President of Continental Company, and as President of U.S. Range/ALCO Corporation. Currently, Mr. Courtney is actively building two internet companies serving the investment real estate and business opportunity communities.

Throughout his business career, Bob Courtney has acted as a consultant to small business and individuals.

Professionally, Mr. Courtney has been a member of the Los Angeles and Palmdale Chambers of Commerce. He has provided guidance to Wordnet Productions, Inc., a nonprofit ministry, and has served as Board Chair for ADEPT, Aiding the Disabled in Employment, Placement and Training. As chairman, ADEPT received President Carter’s Award of Excellence.  Mr. Courtney’s interest in politics has led him to involvement in the Los Angeles, California, and National Republican Party organizations, and a membership in the Lincoln Club of Los Angeles County.

Mr. Courtney received his B.A. from Gonzaga University, his M.B.A./M.S. from California State University, Long Beach, and he participated in a course of study at the University of the Americas in Mexico City. Mr. Courtney is married and the father of two adult children. The Courtneys enjoy spending leisure time at their home in Kona, Hawaii.
