David Eads

David Eads is the current Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce, the largest business advocacy organization in the Los Angeles area with more than 1,600 member companies. Mr. Eads is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Chamber that include public policy, membership development, programs and events, marketing and communications, global initiatives, leadership programs, facilities management, finance, IT, administration, and human resources. He is the liaison to the Chamber’s Board of Directors. Mr. Eads oversees a staff of 45 and a budget of $8.2 million.  

Prior to taking this position, Mr. Eads served the Chamber’s as Senior Vice President; Interim Executive Officer for two years; and as Vice President of Membership. Before he began his career with the LA Area Chamber, David Eads was the Executive Vice President of the Wichita Convention and Visitors Bureau in Wichita, Kansas. During his 13 years with the Bureau, Mr. Eads managed and directed the sales and marketing programs of the Bureau, coordinated the development of the Greater Wichita Area Sports Commission, and opened the city’s first visitor information center. In addition, he has been an operations consultant for a live television broadcast for the past 15 years.       

David Eads has always demonstrated a strong personal commitment to the community in which he lives and works. As a long-standing community advocate, Mr. Eads has participated in both philanthropic and business-related activities. In addition to his service on the Board of Directors for the Los Angeles City College Foundation, Mr. Eads is a member of the Board of Directors for the Southern California Leadership Network and the Community Advisory Committee for The Grammy Museum at L.A. LIVE. He served previously as Chair of the Board for the Wichita State University National Alumni Association, and has been actively involved with the Make-a-Wish Foundation, the Butler County Community College Hotel and Hospitality Training Advisory Board, and the Downtown Wichita Business Association. 

Mr. Eads earned a Bachelors of Business Administration degree in Marketing and his M.B.A. from Wichita State University in Wichita, Kansas.
