Marvin Hoffman
Marvin Hoffman, current President of the LACC Foundation Board of Directors, is the CEO of XXCAL, Inc., and Chairman of XXCAL, Japan. Mr. Hoffman oversees and coaches members of the IT staff at NTS and supervises the Asia expansion activities of XXCAL, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of National Technical Systems (NTS), Inc. He joined NTS as part of the merger with XXCAL, the company he founded in 1976. During his career with NTS, Mr. Hoffman has been the CEO of the IT Staffing and Managed Services Organization, and the Chief Information Officer. He has more than 55 years of IT experience. NTS provides companies and government organizations throughout the world with a single engineering resource for process and product compliance services, technical resources, design engineering services, and program management support.
In addition to his membership on the LACCF Board, Mr. Hoffman is a member of several strategic advisory boards of privately held corporations and he volunteers on the Curriculum Committee at Los Angeles City College, where he taught IT classes part-time for 25 years. He is a member of the Citizen's Oversight Committee for the $2.1 billion bond to bring the Community College District campuses up to date in order to deliver quality education to more students.
Mr. Hoffman holds a B.A. Degree in Mathematics from California State University Northridge, as well as a Data Processing Life Teaching Credential. In his leisure time, Mr. Hoffman enjoys playing golf and spending time with his wife and family.
