Cindy Williams,
Film Producer/Actress

Cindy Williams is most recognized for her role as Shirley Feeney in the ABC-TV situation comedy “Lavern and Shirley.” But, her career has included many notable film, theater and other television roles as well as heading her own production company (Williams co-produced “Father of the Bride” and “Father of the Bride II,” starring Steve Martin.)

Her theatre credits include starring with Elliott Gould in the national tour of “Death Trap,” and portraying Charlotte Hay in “Moon Over Buffalo.” Most recently, while filming recurring roles on the Warner Bros series “For Your Love” and on the Comedy Central series “Strip Mall, Ms. Williams starred as Miss Lynch in the national tour of “Grease.”

Her television roles were on “Room 222,” “Nanny and the Professor,” and “Love American Style.” More recently, Williams appeared on ABC’s “Less Than Perfect,” playing Sara Rue’s mother, Joan, WB’s “Seventh Heaven,” playing the principal, and ABC’s “Eight Simple Rules,” as the neighbor, Mary Ann Doyle. Her early film roles included Roger Corman’s “Gassss,” “Travels Wit My Aunt,” directed by George Cukor, and box-office smash “American Graffiti” directed by George Lucas. American Graffiti garnered her a British Academy of Film and Television Arts nomination for best supporting actress. Williams then appeared in Francis Ford Coppola’s “The Conversation.”
