LACC Welcomes David Shaw, LA Times

On Monday, March 28th, David Shaw of the Los Angeles Times stopped by the College to speak with the staff of the Collegian.

The Collegian staff discussed its current strategy for approaching local businesses and attempting to secure advertising space in the campus newspaper.

David has enjoyed great success in digital advertising and had strong advice for the group. He spoke of the significance of an increased social media presence, and the importance of revenue growth to support the publication. For the Collegian to reach a wider audience, it will need to utilize every available avenue for advertising and promotion.

It is currently seeking greater exposure and needs to build revenue through relationship building and continued excellence in journalism. The campus community and the LACC Foundation look forward to watching the Collegian grow!
