The LACC Foundation's Fall 2007 Gala will take place on Saturday, October the 20th, 2007 at The Globe Theater at Universal Hollywood. The event will be honoring Eric Garcetti (President, Los Angeles City Council), Kaiser Permanente, and Jerry Goldsmith (Oscar® and Grammy® Winning Composer).

In what was truly a special day in the city of Los Angeles, Los Angeles City head coach Mike Miller and the LA City Cubs were honored at City Hall for their historic 14th-straight South Coast Conference Championship that was captured last February. The Los Angeles City College Men's Basketball Team reached a historical landmark during the 2006-07 season when it captured its 14th straight North Division South Coast Conference Championship. No other program in college basketball history has ever won as many consecutive Conference championships on any level or with any sanctioning body including the NCAA, NAIA, NJCAA, or California's Commission on Athletics (COA). The Board of Trustees for the Los Angeles Community College District (LACCD) today announced it has appointed Angela J. Reddock to fill the seat vacated by Trustee Michael Waxman, who resigned from the elected office earlier this year. Reddock's term will expire on June 30, 2009. Read more...

The Los Angeles City College Swap Meet consists of 200 spaces and has been open for almost four years. Over 250,000 customers attend the event each year. The Swap Meet is a benefit to the community as a place to purchase commodities at reduced prices as well as a place to meet and socialize.
