Alumni Spotlight – Lee Broda

Lee Broda is an acclaimed actor, director, producer, poet and founder of LB Entertainment. Lee’s films have premiered in the world’s top film festivals including Sundance, Venice, Toronto, Tribeca, SXSW, BFI, and New York Film Festival and have been distributed worldwide, garnering international recognition, and winning many awards.  

Broda attended LACC’s Theater Academy for drama where she was encouraged to write and direct her own projects. She was recently on campus sharing insights on her career including her poetry work, Whispers from the Moon.  

Lee’s work at LB Entertainment saw her produce over 30 films within its first four years. A Private War starring Rosamund Pike and Jamie Dornan received two Golden Globe nominations in the 2019 award season while Driveways was nominated for two Spirit Awards in the 2020 award season. 

She has worked extensively to try to bridge the gap between Israeli and Arab filmmakers and empower women in the region to tell their stories. Broda served in the military during her national service in Israel which showed her the value of reaching across communities.
