Los Angeles City College celebrated Earth Day at its urban farming community garden on April 22-23. On Monday, volunteers from Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) visited the campus to work on the community garden. They cleared the weeds from part of the space making it ready for planting. Los Angeles City College Foundation has been awarded grants totaling $65,000 from the Golden Globe Foundation to provide fellowships to Cinema/TV and Journalism students and production mini-grants to fund students’ projects.
