Wildlife at LACC: A Student’s Lens

About the Photographer:

While most students come to college to get an education, Gegham Khekoyan has come from Armenia to LACC to give the campus the gift of his art.  In Armenia, he was a renowned designer of books, magazines, and newspapers.  As a student here since 2011, he has helped the Collegian newspaper win national acclaim and awards.  For the past three years, he has taken on the monumenta individual voluntary task of honoring and preserving the life of the campus in more than 100,000 photographs.  These images—of the wildlife, trees, buildings and people of our historic campus—are now on revolving display at the LACC Foundation’s website, and will be available for purchase.  Proceeds will help the foundation continue its efforts on behalf of the college community.
