The program also created a $150 VISA Gift Card Giveaway during this event and awarded five LACC students. Each day during Midterm Meals, in the CubStore, there was a Cub head sticker attached to a food item and who ever was lucky to find it would be awarded. The giveaway winners were ecstatic because they could not believe a program like Food for Thought  existed. An LACC student said, “It’s too good to be true.”

The synergy among the Food for Thought Program, LACC and the Foundation occurs to support students in need of financial or food assistance. With contributions from donors and team effort make events like Midterm Meals possible.

The program is actively planning a ‘Final Meals’ event for students to have food support before completing the Spring semester, starting May 30 until June 6, 2022. More updates coming soon.
