Bennett Mintz left and Nahan Gluck visited LACC to reminisce about their long time friendship with recently deceased alumnus Nicholas Beck. They came to look through 8 boxes of Beck’s notes, articles etc. Mintz and Gluck met Nick in the early ’50s at LACC and remain friends forever.   On May 17 2017, the John Burton Advocates For Youth (JBAY) Graduation Celebration was held at LACC to acknowledge and celebrate current and former youth who have earned an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree, or have completed a certificate program during the 2016-17 school year.
