On Tuesday May 12, 2015, Los Angeles City College Foundation awarded scholarships to 291 students, totaling over $173,000 dollars. LACC Foundation scholarships are made possible by our generous and devoted emeriti, alumni, and community partners. Since 1999, the Foundation has awarded over $2.9 million in scholarships to LACC students. Congratulations to all 2015 recipients!

The Walt Disney Company has donated key equipment assets from its television animation department to Los Angeles City College’s Department of Cinema and Television. The donation includes television animation computers, monitors, creative pen and touch displays, and other multimedia equipment. Alumnus Joe Czyzyk had a long and complicated passage from his birthplace to his graduation from LACC. He was born in Poland, the son of Holocaust survivors. His parents left Poland when Joe was just a toddler, settling in Canada before moving to Los Angeles when Joe was 16.
